If I live until the ripe old age of 80...
A quarter of my life has just passed me by.
It has never been clearer to me that this life is going to fly by.
A flower quickly fading, a wave tossed in the ocean, a vapour in the wind.
I don't want the story of my life to be that I arrived at the end safely and in mint condition.
I want to arrive at the end battered and bruised and scarred because I wasn't afraid to try and fail and try again, to get hurt and humiliated and rejected.
I want to arrive at the end limping victorious, with nothing left because I held nothing back, spent it all for the cause of Christ.
Father, help me.
'Cos I can't do it on my own. At all.
And I know You don't expect me to.
Thank You.
